Terms of service

Welcome to GistReader! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GistReader, an online RSS reader service provided by Aron Codes (“we” or “us”). By using GistReader, you agree to these Terms, which constitute a binding legal agreement between you and us.

1. Use of GistReader

a. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use GistReader. If you are under the age of 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use GistReader.

b. Account registration: To use GistReader, you must register for an account and provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

c. User conduct: You agree to use GistReader only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not use GistReader to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content. You may not use GistReader to impersonate others or to harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.

d. Prohibited activities: You may not use GistReader to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the GistReader service
  • Use GistReader to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to GistReader or other users' accounts
  • Engage in any other activity that we deem inappropriate or harmful

e. Scraping prevention: You agree not to use any automated software, bots, spiders, or other methods to scrape or extract data from GistReader.

2. Intellectual property

a. Ownership: We own all intellectual property rights in GistReader, including all content, software, and technology used to provide the service.

b. License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GistReader solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

3. Disclaimers and limitations of liability

a. No warranty: We provide GistReader on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied.

b. Limitation of liability: We will not be liable for any damages, including without limitation, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of GistReader.

4. Termination

a. Termination by us: We may terminate your access to GistReader at any time, with or without cause.

b. Termination by you: You may terminate your account at any time by using the “Delete my account” option in the app.

Governing law and dispute resolution

a. Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

b. Dispute resolution: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of GistReader shall be resolved through arbitration, in accordance with the rules of the NAI.

6. Miscellaneous

a. Entire agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

b. Modification: We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on the GistReader website. Your continued use of GistReader after the posting of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

d. No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it.

f. Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

g. Headings: The headings in these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
